Spring Cleaning
Spring is a season for new beginnings and lucky for us, we are almost there! With Spring Equinox quickly approaching, there is more than just summer anticipation on everyone’s minds.
For so many of us, the changing of seasons signals a time for cleaning house and many of us will become consumed with cleaning out closets, drawers, and clutter. We’re taught to clean our physical spaces, but rarely are we taught the skills to help to reset ourselves. Clearing our energy and providing a much needed energetic reset is important and beneficial for everyone.
Taking time for energetic resets and releases is vital to living a life of balance. Spring can be a wonderful time to check in and spruce up your energy to nurture regeneration and nourish the new.
In a similar way that you identify clutter in your physical life, you can explore your inner spaces that will benefit from some loving attention. After waking up from the long winter, Spring is the perfect time for rejuvenation and aligning yourself with the best opportunities to have a fulfilling summer.
One of the best ways to reset your energy, ground yourself and create balance as we crawl out of our hibernation is with a session at TULA! The energy healing modalities utilized in a TULA session will help to remove and release any energy that is no longer serving you.

In addition to a TULA session, here are some easy tools you can call on during springtime, or anytime you need an energetic release and/or reset:
● Journaling - even if it’s just for five minutes, taking a moment to sit down and put pen to paper can shift your whole day. Sit down and get in tune with your current mindset. How are you feeling? What are your intentions for the day?
● Breathwork - awareness of your breath is key to balanced living and is an important aspect of sessions at TULA. Breathwork focuses solely on the power of your breath and how it feels in every part of your body. Deep breathing lowers heart rate when you’re feeling anxious and controls your autonomic nervous system, helping your body feel more aligned and present
● Mindful walking - walking is one of the best things you can do to get energy moving throughout your body. Lace up your sneakers and go for a “mindful walk.” Breathe in the air, absorb the world around you. As you move your limbs and open up space for that energy to reset, you’re allowing yourself an opportunity to be fully present.
● Getting out into nature - this is one of the best ways to quickly and fully reset your energy. Take a drive to your favorite spot to sit and watch the sunset, head into the woods, or go to the mountains away from the street lights where you can truly see the stars. Whenever you turn your focus and energy to nature, you automatically feel calmer and more connected
● Decluttering and cleansing your physical space - take time to organize and rid your space of whatever is no longer needed, and then do a simple smudging of your space. Smudging is an ancient practice that involves the burning of herbs to cleanse and purify your body, land, or a physical space. Burning sage, in particular, is a wonderful way to clear out heavy, stale, or stagnant energy and reset your living or work space. As you smudge, recite a mantra or intention out loud. Make a conscious effort to focus on where the energy currently is and where you want it to move to.
● Rest and sleep - getting ample rest and quality sleep are key to releasing, resetting and renewing! Rest is vital for better mental health, increased concentration and memory, a healthier immune system, reduced stress, improved mood and even a better metabolism. Sleep is an essential function of the body and impacts every system from our cognitive function to immune health. Quality sleep can help us reset, recover and recharge. It’s so important to prioritize adequate rest and quality sleep in your everyday life.
May these simple tools help you rejuvenate and usher in a new degree of well-being in your life this spring!
Next week will mark the third anniversary of my surviving a stroke. It’s so hard to believe it’s been three years - sometimes it feels like more and sometimes it feels like just yesterday. In my next blog I will share more about this experience and the things I’m learning as I continue to make my comeback stronger than my setback.
Also, in honor of this meaningful time of year for me, I will be launching another giveaway next week via social media - stay tuned!
Thanks for taking the time to read!
Be well,
Kerry
