About
Thanks for taking the time to check out my website! I am truly thankful for your interest! From a young age I knew I wanted to work with others, and more specifically I wanted to work with others in a supportive way.
In 1994, I graduated from the University of Vermont with a double major in Sociology and Psychology and worked several jobs in the human services field before going on to graduate school. In 1999, I graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Vermont and began work in community mental health supporting children, families and school teams. I became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in 2001.
After over 20 years working in community mental health, I knew it was time for a change but was not sure what that meant. Despite not knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I knew that I still wanted to work with others in a supportive capacity.
My own experience with energy healing modalities began well before I made the decision to pursue this path professionally. In my late thirties, I began experiencing symptoms often associated with aging (i.e. interrupted sleep, low energy/fatigue, brain fog, etc.). Not finding answers from the traditional medical model, I made the decision to seek out alternative healing modalities. Through this search for answers, I became extremely interested in energy healing and how it could support me on my wellness journey.
It was not until I experienced my most significant personal setback in March of 2019 that I realized how important energy healing and sound therapy would become to me. At that time, I suffered a stroke when my vertebral artery became dissected following a chiropractic adjustment. Energy healing and sound therapy were an integral part of my recovery. While I am still a work in progress (aren’t we all?), I know that my recovery would not be what it has been without these modalities, and that is when I knew I wanted to use these energy healing modalities in my work with others.
My work at TULA allows me to integrate my clinical social work skills, including deep listening skills and grounded ethics, with energy healing and sound therapy. I have personally found the TULA approach facilitates wellness and results in lasting change. I am honored to offer this support to those who are seeking wellness and healing and would be privileged to work with you.
My qualifications and trainings include:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (since 2001)
Certified advanced Reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho) practitioner (since 2015)
Certified Biofield Tuning Practitioner (since Nov 2021)
